|It is our goal to give people the tools they need to improve their ability to think about, relate to, and communicate with others. |
We want to give students the tools they need to navigate the social world.
Relating to others is something many of us learn intuitively. We can read emotions on people's faces, and adjust our behavior accordingly. We are able to make smart guesses about the people in our environment and how we should interact with them. However, these skills are not intuitive for some people. For example, people on the Autism Spectrum, for whom social skills are not as easily figured out, require a more in-depth look at social skills. Breaking social skills down into smaller segments and explaining what others do intuitively is what our groups are all about.
